Now that the question has been popped and the proposal accepted, planning the wedding can begin. Naturally, one of the first steps is to announce the engagement and begin to tell your families.
For gay couples this can be an anxiety inducing process that may result in fights as some families vary on their views on gay rights. Â Be sure to keep your heads up if this be the case. Remember, you are marrying your partner, not their family.
